Europe for Citizens

Office for Cooperation with Civil Society is a national contact point and is considered to be the coordinator for the implementation of the program Europe for Citizens (EFC)

Republic of Serbia participate in the Europe for Citizens Program since November 2012. This EU Program aims to promote cooperation among the participating countries of the Programme in different areas related common policies.

EU programs are intended for EU member primarily but they are open to countries which are in the process of accession. Due to the fact thah candidate states do not contribute to the general budget of the European Union, they are obliged to pay the membership fee for participation in the program.

The annual financial contribution paid by the Republic of Serbia to participate in the Europe for Citizens program is 55,000 euros. The fee allows civil society organizations and local self-governments to apply for funding under the Programme. Annual membership fee is provided from the budget of the Republic of Serbia and from IPA funds.

The program Europe for Citizens (EFC) is a program of the European Union and aims to promote European identity and European citizenship.
