During 2018, interested applicants from Serbia applied for the allocation of funds under the EU program "Europe for Citizens" within two calls with deadlines in March and September 2018.
Users from Serbia applied for all four measures of the EFC program - for measure 1.1. within Strand 1 European Remembrance and Measure 2.1. (Town Twinning), 2.2. (Networks of Towns) and 2.3. (Civil Society Organizations Projects) under Strand 2 - Democratic Engagement and Citizen Participation.
Total results:
- 52 organizations, institutions and units of local self-government from Serbia applied as project leads;
- 7 projects were approved, totaling EUR 480,520;
- 69 civil society organizations, local self-government units and institutions from Serbia have partner status on approved projects (some domestic actors are partners in several approved projects).
The leads of projects approved in 2018 are: European Movement in Serbia, Bač Municipality, Balkan Urban Movement, Citizens 'Association of Ostorak, Citizens' Association "Libero", Novi Sad Foundation 2021- European Capital of Culture and Belgrade Open School.
The Office for Cooperation with Civil Society, as a national contact point for the EU "Citizens for Citizens for Europe" Program (EFC), implemented a series of activities dedicated to program promotion and capacity building of domestic actors for participation and networking within the program during 2018. In total, we organized 10 events, attended by more than 540 participants.
