The presentation of the European Union program "Europe for Citizens" was held on January 18, 2019 in Belgrade, with the participation of more than 50 representatives of civil society organizations and local self-government units from all over Serbia.
Representatives of the Office for Cooperation with Civil Society, as national focal point for this program, presented the structure and goals of the program as well as the priorities for the period 2019-2020. In addition to the structure and objectives of the Europe for Citizens Program, the participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the experience of leading partners from Serbia who had their projects approved within this program. Tips for successful preparation of the project application, as well as any difficulties encountered during the preparation and implementation of the projects, were presented by Emilija Marinković from the European Movement in Serbia, the lead in the EnlargEUrope project, Danijela Maljević, from BUM Citizens Association, as the lead in CoolTURE! project and Bojan Milosavljevic fromNovi Sad Foundation 2021 - European Capital of Culture, the lead in the European Youth Engagement Network project.
The participants of the presentation also had the opportunity to ask questions that were mainly related to the financial aspects of project implementation and the organization and management of partnerships, which are a mandatory feature of this program.
We are reminded that the first call for proposals for 2019 is currently open. In this call, you can apply for projects under Chapter 1 - European Remembrance and Chapter 2 - Democratic Engagement and Civic Participation - Measure 2.1. Town twinning, no later than February 1, 2019.
