Representatives of the Office for Cooperation with Civil Society participated in the Creative Europe Forum 2019 held in May and June at two venues in Novi Sad and Niš. This year, the Forum aimed to explore the emancipatory potentials of both the culture and the postulates of European cooperation, as well as how culture helps to overcome the uneasiness of European citizens caused by globalization and media fabricating reality, and how European cooperation helps to overcome the pitfalls of narrow perceived interests at the national level in today's transnational and global world.
Representatives of the Office Sanja Atanasković Opačić and Jelena Todorović presented the Europe for Citizens Program, the goals and priorities of this EU program, the application process for funding, as well as the participation of the Republic of Serbia at the sessions in Novi Sad and Nis.
The event was attended by representatives of civil society organizations, cultural institutions and representatives of cities and municipalities from Serbia dealing with the topic of culture in local governments, as well as writing project proposals funded by EU funds and programs.
