Within the project "European Axis West-East" funded by the Europe for Citizens Program, an international conference was held in Sremski Karlovci from September 6-8, 2019. During the Conference, 10 partners from 5 countries had the opportunity to present their local communities and exchange information on development plans, while the citizens had the opportunity to participate in 6 international workshops on priority topics of the Europe for Citizens Program in Sremski Karlovci High School. Topics also included wine-making and wine marketing in the EU. The workshop on enhancing citizens' understanding and involvement in the process of European policy-making was led by Ms Jelena Todorovic, Advisor for the implementation and monitoring of projects of the Office for Cooperation with Civil Society.

Consequently, 10 international partners signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the Magistrate's Building, as a formal basis for further cooperation resulting from the "European Axis West-East" project.
