The Office for Cooperation with Civil Society of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, as the national contact point for the European Union Program "Europe for Citizens" in Serbia, organized a presentation of the Program in Čačak, in front of over 30 representatives of local self-government, civil society organizations and cultural institutions, on December 23, 2019 for the first time.
Sanja Atanasković Opačić, Head of the Group for International Cooperation and European Integration and National Contact Point for this Program, presented the goals and priorities of the Program in 2020, the structure of the program and the deadlines for submitting project proposals and the opportunities it offers to local self-government units and civil society organizations as well. As part of the presentation, she also introduced some of the approved projects with lead partners from Serbia from previous years.
In addition, Mila Marinković, an expert on the EU project "Support to Participation in EU Programs", presented the main activities of this project in 2020, which will be mostly related to strengthening the capacity of potential beneficiaries to write projects and to use EU funds more as well as Creative Europe and Law, Equality and Citizenship programs. We remind everyone that calls for proposals are open in 2020, and that the European Commission has published a Program Guide for the coming year that may be of use to you in preparing project proposals.
