Croatian experience

On September 29th 2011, National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia hosted participants of the conference “Creating an enabling environment for civil society development”. Participants discussed on possibilities of further development of relations between governmental institutions and CSOs in the context of establishing of formalized mechanisms for the cooperation.

National Assembly Speaker, Professor Doctor Slavica Đukić Dejanović noted in her introductory addressing that around 15 000 organizations is estimated to presently exist in the Republic of Serbia, all of which contribute, together with governmental institutions, in the development of legal framework and participatory democracy in our society
