Europe for Citizens: First meeting in 2016

The first presentation of the Europe for Citizens Programme in 2016 was held on January 25, 2016 in Belgrade. Over 50 representatives of civil society organizations and local self-governments were presented at this meeting.

Priorities of the EFC programme in the period 2016-2020 are multi-annual and related to topics of great significance for potential beneficiaries from Serbia, such as - Commemorations of the beginning of the Yugoslav Wars, Democratic transition and accession to the European Union, as well as Solidarity in times of crisis.

The presentation participants were introduced with structure and priorities of the Programme, as well as with experiences of the successful Programme beneficiaries from Serbia.

Tips for a successful preparation of project applications, as well as any difficulties encountered during the preparation and implementation of projects were presented by:

• Bojan Milosavljević, Municipality of Savski Venac applicant of the "WONET" project;

• Dragan Lukic, Association for Promoting Inclusion of Serbia as the applicant of the "Towards European values ​​- people with disabilities as equal citizens" project,

• Gyula Ribar front Association Prospero, the applicant of the "TWINCOM" project.

Numerous question were raised by the presentation participants, majority of them regarding financial aspects of project implementation and administration of project partnerships, as obligatory feature of the EFC projects.
