Europe for Citizens: Seminar on the position of women and family law
On behalf of the Office for Cooperation with Civil Society as a national contact point for the program Europe for Citizens Marina Tadic participated in the seminar "Women and family rights", held in Hvar from 14 to 17 April 2016.
The seminar was organized within the project "Women's Network for the Future of Europe - WONET". The project applicant is the Belgrade municipality Savski venac, which is supported within the program Europe for Citizens 2015.
The "Women's Network for the Future of Europe - WONET" is dedicated to the strengthening and capacity building of women for political articulation of gender equality and the construction of gender solidarity through networking at local and European level.
Three seminars have been already held within the WONET project so far with the theme of women in the context of education, participation in political life, media, employment and social policy.
Around 50 participants came to attend this seminar held in Hvar, which was the great possibility for exchanging of experiences on topics related to family law (sexual and reproductive rights, domestic violence, gender-based violence, etc.). The final conference of the project will be held in June 2016 in Belgrade.
Altogether with the municipality Savski venac participant in this project are civil society organizations and local governments from four countries - Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Italy.
