EFC presentation in Kraljevo

Within the activities as the National contact point for the EU program Europe for Citizens, Office for Cooperation with Civil Society visited Kraljevo on July 22nd 2016 and held a presentation of this program in cooperation with the City of Kraljevo.

The meeting was opened by the Mayor of Kraljevo, Predrag Terzic. In his speech he stressed the importance of such meetings, as well as the need to establish cooperation between local governments and civil society, in order to prepare better and more quality projects. Then Jelena Pajović van Reenen, Head of the Group for International Cooperation and European Integration in the Office for Cooperation with Civil Society, presented the general objectives of the EFC Programme, the former Serbia's participation in the program, and the work of the Office as a contact point. Marina Tadic presented the detailed structure and priorities of the program, deadlines, as well as the process of submitting projects. Ivana Mrakulić, ahead of the European Movement in Serbia introduced participants with the current EFC project “EU in the eyes of citizens” and shared personal experience in participating in this EU program.

The presentation had nearly 50 participants, representatives of local governments, civil society and the institutions of culture and education from Kraljevo, Kragujevac, Novi Sad, Belgrade, the Spa, Rekovac and Aleksinac.
