The Office for Cooperation with Civil Society, as a national contact point for the EU program "Europe for Citizens", is pleased to inform all participants of this program that, based on the opinion received from the Ministry of Finance, the Sector for the Fiscal System of 10 July 2017, the exemption from Value Added Tax (VAT) is possible for all Serbian participants of this programme. Tax exemption can be obtained in accordance with the procedure prescribed by the Rulebook on the procedure for exercising VAT exemptions.
Through the EFC programme, a common European history and values are promoted, as well as a sense of responsibility for the way in which Europe will develop. Through this program, the participation of citizens in all aspects of the Community's life is encouraged. The overall objectives of the program are to contribute to the understanding of the European Union, its history and diversity, and on the other hand - the promotion of civic and democratic participation at the EU level.
The programme is open to the participants from the EU Member States and other countries that have signed an international agreement (candidate and potential candidate countries for membership in the EU and EFTA countries). Eligible actors are non-profit organizations, primarily civil society organizations (NGOs), local governments and public institutions such as museums, archives, educational institutions and cultural institutions.
