The Office for Cooperation with Civil Society, EU Delegation to Serbia, EU Info Centre and “Ana and Vlade Divac” Foundation organized yesterday the event "Speed dating: EU Funds for Youth and Youth Cooperation in the Western Balkans Region " within the campaign "Europe for You" .
The event brought together representatives of civil society organizations, as well as representatives of the EU funds for projects focusing on young people and encouraging the cooperation of young people in the region.
In his opening speech, Mr Stefen Hudolin of the EU Delegation to Serbia emphasized importance of informing of young people in Serbia about available fund, projects and events that can contribute to cooperation in the region. He added that Serbia is the most successful in the region in using EU programs for the youth exchanges, such as Erasmus + programme.
Nenad Maletin from the National Youth Council of Serbia expressed the expectation that such kind of events enable establishing partnerships among youth organizations.
Sanja Atanasković Opačić from the Office for Cooperation with Civil Society pointed out the good results that Serbia has in informed the participants about the open call for joining the Youth Bank Hub Western Balkans and Turkey and invited organizations to apply.
The representatives of nearly 30 civil society organizations had the opportunity to get acquainted with the following programmes: Europe for Citizens, Youth Bank Hub Western Balkans and Turkey, European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR), Civil Society Facility Program (CSF), RegionalOffice for Youth Cooperation (RYCO), Propulsion Fund (Foundation for New Communications Dokukino), Erazmus +, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs, Creative Europe and the EU Info Centre.
