EU program "Europe for Citizens" for which the Office is a national contact point was presented yesterday, at the EU Info Center in Belgrade. The event was organized by Culture Desk Serbia and the EU Info Center, in order to present the current opportunities for financial support in the field of cultural heritage and creative industries.
Among the participants, there were about 50 representatives of civil society organizations, institutions and cultural organizations that intend to compete in the two programs of the European Commission: Creative Europe (Culture) and Europe for Citizens.
Sanja Atanasković Opačić, the head of the Group for International Cooperation and European Integration of the Office for Cooperation with Civil Society, and Dimitrije Tadić, head of Creative Europe Desk Serbia, spoke about the priorities of these programs, open calls for proposals and opportunities for participation of domestic institutions and organizations in culture, as well as civil society organization and local self-government units.
Following calls for proposals were presented:
- European remembrance, within the framework of the Europe for Citizens Program
- Democratic engagement and civic participation, within the framework of the Europe for Citizens Program
- Cultural and Creative Cities and Spaces, Interactive Call of the Creative Europe Program
